The (Cool) TShirt Project

The Tshirt Project is a Philippine-based store that offers fresh and unique concepts on printed tshirts carried –out through the various brands under its arm. It is owned and operated by Spoofs Ltd., Inc , the same company that owns Spoofs (the brand).

The company started as a real school project back when the owners were still in college. Its first brand, Spoofs, has been around since 1991 and has pretty much been the only retail brand the company offered for a quite long time. The second brand, Branded, wouldn’t come into the picture until 2005; about 13 years after the company’s incorporation in 1992.

However, in no way did this mean that “The Tshirt Project” was wasting time doing nothing. During the time between the first two brands, the company managed to build a steady balik-bayan based market and expand its number to about 25 company-owned outlets and 3 franchisees. Efforts were also spent in developing two other critical foundations: Fourth Floor Apparel and Print Wiz, Inc. These two are the production arms of “The Tshirt Project”, with the former taking care of all the company’s sewing needs and the latter handling printing-related matters.

With the stage pretty much set, the company started releasing the brands that would eventually be the staples of “The Tshirt Project”. Branded, the second of its brands, debuted in mid 2005 and is now 4 outlets strong. It was followed by the release of Customized (early 2006) and Filipino Company Making Everything or FCME (mid 2006). Three more brands, Metro Adobo, Malisya, and Shirts for a Cause, come out by late 2006. Blanko, Designed Sealed and Delivered, Ang Bagong Barong as well as Volume One come out only this year 2007.

OUR BRANDS

In this section, we aim to introduce these brands and, hopefully, help YOU pick the best shirt for your lifestyle. Read on!

Spoofs
Tag Hirap, FedUp, Bolo. These designs, plus a few hundred others, make up the 15 year old parody-based brand that is Spoofs. A mall regular and a ‘balikbayan’ favorite, Spoofs drew its popularity by tickling the Filipinos’ funny bones through hilarious renditions of logos of popular designer brands, movies, and TV shows.

Branded
One of the very few brands in the country today that sells officially licensed merchandise, Branded offers a very wide range of shirts to choose from. We’ve got music-related shirts, statement shirts, brand shirts, and more. With selections of Pinoy cult brands like White rabbit candy and Sarao Jeepneys to novelty icons like Nora Aunor; Branded can cater to conformists and eccentrics alike.
Customized

Everything that isn’t realistically workable, that is. These products and their funny little details can only be worn by people witty enough to get them. Get it?
